TJ THOMSON

ADA COUNTY COMMISSIONER

I am running for Ada County Commissioner to promote an ethical and transparent county government that empowers our communities.

CONTRIBUTE

ON THE ISSUES

Economic Development and Job Creation

One of my first priorities as Ada County Commissioner will be to use these economic tools proactively to create jobs and improve our economy.

null

Strengthen Local Control and Support Our Cities

As your next county commissioner, I will work to put our county back on the right track—supporting our cities and serving our communities in the ways it was intended.

Reduce Taxpayer Costs through Savings and Efficiencies

I will propose an energy audit for our county facilities, to see if there are ways we can improve energy use to reduce costs and conserve resources.

null

Open and Ethical Leadership

I will propose creation of an Ethics Commission made up of community volunteers that provides residents an avenue for complaints and independent investigations.

Community Planning and Good Stewardship

The county needs to make sure service levels are adequate before approving large-scale developments. Access to fire, sewer, roads, schools, and plans for commercial services must be part of the grand discussion and master planning.

Tax Savings

For the last 15 years, I have served as an auditor and program evaluator at both the public and private sector levels, seeking out fraud, waste, and abuse in budgets and finding ways to make programs work more efficiently.
